GARDEN INSPIRATION

I love this photo! It shows us that gardening can be a fashion statement:)

Does that mean I am throwing out the cut off sweats and my old paint tee shirts? No Way, but I am inspired to step up my garden attire.

GREAT STUFF FOR THE UNIQUE PERSONALITY

"Come on in" is what the ladies yelled at us through their glass window.

Curious at what type of treasures where located in the store, out faces where pressed up against the glass window like children looking into a candy shop. Unfortunately, the store's sign claimed it was closed. Lucky for us, the three ladies (Miss Kathy, Debbie, and Dora) where re-arranging their new items on their day off, and spotted us. They swung the door open, and greeted us with a big smile and a very southern hello.  We stepped inside the land of eccentricities and felt as if we where in heaven. Scanning each nook, cranny, shelf, and cubbard, I found all of my goodies, and left excited over our new finds!

Corbin Kentucky is a  bit of a road trip (about 8 Hours) for those in the Chicago land area, but a great location to begin your southern vintage/antique finds. We wish Alley Stuff all the luck in the world and look forward to stopping by the next time we drive through Kentucky.
P.S. Thank you ladies for helping me with my lost possessions:)

YOUR INVITED TO MY DREAM

Picture This.........
You wake up and have a warm cup of coffee and some fresh baked bread while taking in the breathtaking views.

Later, you decide it would be lovely to do some garden work and soak up some of the suns warm rays.

You get hungry and decide to invite friends over for good eats and drinks. A few canopy lights later, and the mood is set. All that is missing is the Gypsy band of violins playing folk music around the campfire! For now the Ipod will do.

You are tired from the amazing day and wish to rest your eyes on a soft pillow surrounded by billowing sheets of fabric, so that just the mountain air ever so slightly blows through.

These places have such a dreamy quality to them and are beautiful inspirations. Patrick Johansson photographed these locations for his book, "The Architects Holiday House". Relaxed, slow, cozy.....everything I will be looking for in my next home:)

NEW OBSESSION

I just purchased my very own 1970's inspired jeans and am in LOVE. A great pair of skinny jeans has been the pant of choice for far too long now, so when I saw these leg breathing, tummy sucking jeans, I just had to have them:)

OUT WITH THE BLING, IN WITH THE EARTH

Our newest addition to our jewelry collection. They come in all shapes and colors and where just imported from Bali. We love these exotic and earthy bracelets. They are a great option for that "everyday" piece of jewelry that will go with any outfit.
